Herefordshire Care Homes National Care Home Open Day 2018
Care Home Open Day is now in its 6th year. It encourages care homes to open their doors to celebrate a different theme each year, with a few key values at its heart: friendship, making connections and celebrating older and vulnerable people.
This year’s theme is Linking Communities and hopes to create lasting links between care homes and their communities. Held for the first time on a weekend, it allowed more people to step through the threshold of their local care home and discover the warmth and laughter waiting within.
Herefordshire Care Homes were open over the weekend with local dignitaries, families and visitors coming to see our amazing care homes.
The local mayors visited Whitegates , Highwell House and Hazelhurst with activities , workshops and food and drinks throughout the day the weather stayed dry for us and there was a fantastic response from the local community.
