About Herefordshire Care Home

About Us

Our Staff

Our friendly and well trained staff get to know each new resident and welcomes them in to our home treating them as they would their own parent.

The philosophy we have about life in a care home sets us apart from others. We are very different and to make sure we do things differently we need people who share this philosophy.

Our recruitment process is rigorous, we do everything possible to recruit and train the very best staff.

All new staff receive a comprehensive induction so they can feel confident to deliver the very highest standards of care. We actively encourage all staff to review their performance by using an annual performance review and offer a range of professional qualifications.

Our owner, Karen Rogers, has invaluable history working in both the NHS and Local Authority where she was responsible for the inspection of Care Homes. Karen has also advised the Department of Health on regulatory policy and has a number of health care related articles published.

Underpinning the expertise within our family of homes is Karen’s Master’s Degree in The Management of Health and Social Care. Everybody who works in a Herefordshire Care Home is motivated and driven to focus on quality of life, dignity and compassion in the care of older people.

Our Quality Commitment

Championing quality of life for our residents is the responsibility of every member of staff.

For our residents their families and friends, quality of life means providing a supportive home filled with trusted, kind and compassionate staff, nutritious meals and days filled with enriching activities that nurture the mind and body.

Annually, we survey residents and their families about their experiences, and they confirm what we always hope.

Continually Improving

At Herefordshire Care Homes we are always looking at ways to improve. On a monthly basis we review standards in:

By delivery on our commitment to quality our residents and their families enjoy the peace of mind that comes with living in any one of our homes.

Five of our homes have been rated as "Outstanding" by the CQC putting us in the top 1% of care homes in the country.
